Dad asks for one million likes on facebook page as dowry


Apparently the new emerging phenomenon of social networking is affecting the peoples life’s. What was first discovered for a whole social experience on the web had now become people’s obsession. The physiologists have termed the obsession of Facebook as FAD, or Facebook Addiction Disorder. People are now being evaluation on the bases of likes that they get on the Facebook pics and status. But a latest news from Yemen have took it to an whole another level where the bride’s family asked man to get 1 million “likes” as dowry.


                                                        A father in Yemen has asked his future son in law to provide him one million likes on his Facebook profile before he allows him to marry his daughter.  Salem Ayash, a professional poet said he agreed to this peculiar request before letting his daughter get married as no one in Yemen could afford to pay the dowry because of the financial status. The page which was recently set up by the groom have received over 35000 likes so far. Ayash also said that the groom can take any amount of time he likes to get the requested number of likes.
