The music industry looses approximately $12.5 billion every year due to the piracy. The figures are shocking and the situation continues to deteriorate. While on the other hand the articles are being published that who was the most downloaded singer of the year. According to some specialists these figures must be presented as the losses that those downloaded tracks yielded to the audio recode company.
According to the figures released by data analysis firm Musicmerit Mars
American singer-song writer Bruno Mars and R&B star Rihana are the most
pirated music artists of 2013. Taking look at the figures presented Mars
finished the year with nearly 5.8 million downloads, Rihanna 5.4 million, Draft
punk was third with 4.2 million. Justin Timberlake with 3.9 million and Flo
Rida with 3.5 million download were the top five.
Although necessary measures are implemented by the music industry but the
piracy still remains at large.
